Time is Precious!

Time!! Precious right?

How many times have you turned around and said: sorry don’t have time for “that”…too busy.

Really?? My dad is the wisest person I know and he used to tell us ever since I remember.

If you don’t have time?…make it! “Only those that don’t have time, are those that don’t really want it.” ~ My Dad

Now, this overwhelming feeling of “I’m running out of time” could also be that you’re not planning your day as you should. We all have the same time and the truth is that it doesn’t really run out, you’re just putting it off or moving your tasks for another day. Time is an Illusion and unfortunately, we allow time to control us.

When you really want something badly, you must take the time to put things in place to achieve it. I bet that you have said to yourself before: “I would really love to have my own membership site program but I don’t have the time!”. Or maybe you’ve always wanted to go travel around the world but time for your holidays is restrictive. Have you said to yourself: “When am I going to find the time?”.

You’re taking TIME for granted my friend! You know is there tomorrow or the next day so there is no urgency in you taking action. In you, pursuing your dreams because your mind is creating excuses and delaying what you want.

You are convinced that you can “fight time” or it magically rewind itself. That’s not going to happen I’m afraid. The only thing moving around you is days, months, years, time is going forward and you are stagnating and living your same old mundane life. You can’t gain time and you can’t lose time but you can definitely “waste” time when you allow your mind to control your thoughts and influence your actions.

Planning your day has to do with your ability to self-discipline and your willingness to reach your goals.

Here are some tips for you to manage your time…

1 – Affirm that you’re a TIME Warrior and you’re in control of all the time in the world. Meditate on it or visualise yourself having enough time to do whatever you desire. Get rid of all your old limiting beliefs that you are not worthy, not good enough and instead ask yourself: “what would I do if I have all the time in the world?”
2 – Go easy on yourself and block time off during the week just for you. If you’re not rested, the hands of the clock will feel like they’re racing. The most important person in your life is YOU so take good care of your mind and body.
3 – Keep a calendar timeline for all your goals and reverse engineer the actions that need to be taken. I love to green out all those tasks during the week. It helps me to visualise it better and there is a sense of accomplishment and pride for doing them.
4 – Choose a day to list all your weekly tasks and stick to it. I like to do mine on Friday afternoon but I know some people that prefer to do them during the weekend. It really doesn’t matter. The important is to choose a day and stick to it and obviously put it on paper or in your diary.
5 – Approach your tasks how it feels better for you so, for example, some prefer to do priority tasks first whilst others prefer to do the boring tasks. There is no right or wrong here. The way you do it doesn’t matter at all. Achieving the end result aka completing your tasks is the goal. It always gives me a sense of total happiness to end the week knowing that I have done at least 80% of what I wanted to do.

Being the master of your time means getting more done, staying energized and doing more things you enjoy.

And, having fun doing it.

Time slips away like grains of sand never to return again. ~ Robin Sharma

How are you spending your time or the lack of it? Remember that you can control your own time and if you want to make time fly, throw your watch out of the window.
